I am a long time Keen lover. They are amazing.

This is the first pair that has steered me wrong in 8 years.

The glue let go on both shoes that holds the sole on. The toe and heel are still attached, but the entire sole has let go.

I purchased them in Jan of this year, wore them sparingly through the winter/spring. In June, they started to show signs of glue letting go. In August they totally let go.

I am at a loss. I have banking records to confirm purchase, but have to contact Cabelas to see if they can obtain my receipt.

The shoe department lady said to contact Keen to see about their product recall of faulty glue. I have seen nothing of this online.

Advice??

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $140.

Preferred solution: replacement. I love these shoes! But now i can't wear them..

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

I got mine on vacation, don't have receipt. I've been scrolling through the internet looking for similar issues.

But I don't know what to do other than industrial glue. I found one sight that said resole Keens starting $75 and up.

But likely cost effective to just buy a new pair, smh. But then I'm back to square one with *** soles.

I just submitted a warranty claim for the same reason I was told to try barge cement but feel for the amount of money you’d pay they should fix the issue It’s an obvious manufacturing issue because lots of people have had this issue

My first pair of keens lasted 6 months then the sole started separating.

They credited my account.

Got a new pair. (Different Style) 3 months after sole is already separating.

I had a pair of Keens I bought in 2009 that lasted years! My replacement pair fell apart and made my feet hurt and it was the same size/model as the first.

Their manufacturing has changed for the worse.

Looking for a new brand that hasn't abandoned its quality now. Avoid Keens!

I have 2 pairs of Keens bought within the last 5 years. Each one had the the soles start to fall away because of faulty glue - within the first 3 months of basic use!

I tried everything from Shoe Goo to Gorilla Glue to reattach, but nothing works they just keep coming off. Not to mention it's lame that I have to do this kind of repair from what is supposed to be a quality show.

Unfortunately I waited too long to think about pursuing the warranty. I too am dropping Keen and going to look for an alternative.
